Welcome to the official Web page of #mtgtrivia - the channel (chat room) on IRC created to enhance the knowledge of MTG trivia among the players. Channel operators on #mtgtrivia are running daily trivia contests. This gives everyone a chance to learn new trivia, refresh their knowledge of some obscure facts about the game and win exciting prizes. The contests are free to enter. Exact times for upcoming contests will be posted on this site in the future. For now, inquire about them in the channel. We could use some help. Read the column on the right for details. CONTEST RULES 1. During the contest, #mtgtrivia is in +m mode - that means only the channel operators can talk in the channel. This is done to allow the person running the contest to "speak" without being interrupted. This also prevents people from accidentally posting the answer publically. 2. When you join the contest, change your alias to begin with _0 (if your alias is John, change it to _0John). This indicates that you have 0 points. Each time you earn a point, change your alias according to the number of points you have. 3. Send the correct answer to the person running the contest. VERY IMPORTANT: There are often 30+ people participating so do not message the contest operator with ANYTHING other than an answer. The answer must be complete and sent all at once, else it will be considered incorrect. 4. The host will reply to you indicating whether your answer was correct. The first person to reach 10 points wins the contest. If you do not mind sparing a few cards, let us know. * Send us interesting trivia bits. Know some cool trivia bit? Email it to us and we might use it as one of the questions. |
